// Numb.

Imagine being on medication for your entire life. Your childhood is riddled with pills and times and cup after cup of water because you couldn't swallow that enormous horse pill. Imagine high school lunch hours, hiding in some washroom where you could take your medication in peace without someone accusing you of being a druggie. Every relationship you have ends with an explanation about your 'condition'.

Now imagine finding out, at age 26, that you've been taking medication for the last 17 years for a condition that you don't have. You've been taking medication that you don't need. In fact, it is because of these pills that you are as messed up as you are. It's not that the medication wasn't working. You simply didn't need the medication.

Maybe it was someone's idea of a cruel joke.
