// Historymaker: Life

Yes... I'm very late at posting this Historymaker post... Really, I have tons of things to post about, but I haven't posted due to the fact that I am somewhat lazy...so here we go! A top 5 list of Historymaker!

1. Immidiatly when we got there Nick started stealing people's pellows. He wasn't letting anybody into his room, so we went into Bill's room, the room beside his, and there were connecting doors. Dyllan ended up picking the lock and AMBUSH! We started beating Nick, Brendon, Joel, it was absolultly hilarious!

2. The backstage experiance was new for me, and very interesting. One aspect of Historymaker I had never experianced. I got to go backstage to talk to Darcy on the Saturday and give him some files for the Historymaker movie, and it was pretty awesome! Darcy gave me some words of encouragement and a big hug before I went on my way for the rest of the weekend! After the Monday service, again I got to go backstage, and I met some more people who were very impressed with my movie. It was an incredible feeling that all these people, big name people of Historymaker, were congradulating me. I got to meet Mark DeHoog, and he said he would love to keep in contact with me, and I once again thanked Darcy for letting me show my video, and the rest is History

3. My Video made its debut! It played during the Monday session right after Mike Pilavachi spoke. Darcy introduced my video to start communion, and I must say... it wasn't what I expected! I thought they would do something with the lights, the sound would rock, and the atmoshpere would be amazing! It really wasn't though... they didn't do anything for the lights, and the sound was a little low in quality, I think they only had it playing at the front speakers or something. It was pretty awesome seeing my video up there, but I just felt it could have been so much better. It was a pretty intense movie so once it finished, I don't think people knew how to react. Anyhoo, the movie played without a problem, and that my friends, was incredible.

4. The Speakers were incredible this year. Mike Pilavachi really did steel the show, but don't forget about Josh Wiedman. Josh did an amazing job and had a very powerful message. It was the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Mike truly was outstanding as I expected! I love Mike because he was the first person I ever saw speak at Historymaker, way back in 03 at Dream. I'm going to have to buy the DVD's for this year because the speakers were funny, and just had a great message.

5. Well... due to the fact that I have been so lazy... I've pretty much forgot what top 5 is! So I will finish by saying I loved this year's Historymaker. It truly was incredible. I couldn't have asked for a better room and Lucas, Dustin, and Dyllan were a pleasure to have. It was the last Historymaker in Kamloops, so obviously this was going to be a special finish for me. I ended up going for a pretty big hike on the Sunday and to prove it, I took pictures! You can check them out here... I tried my best to make this the best weekend I could with God, but then really, I didn't. A lot of the times I told myself put the youth first, and I kind of ignored anything that was being told to me, which I regret now. Brenda gave her testimony last Sunday and I thought wow... I litterally was blown away... So anyhoo, I guess I know for next year I can be a bit selfish. It was an awesome feeling praying for some of the guys and just really made my weekend.

Once again, sorry for the late post! Thanks Historymaker for a great weekend! Soo loong Kamloops...
