// All I Want For Christmas Are Some English Muffins
Yep! English Muffins I say! I got them too! Anyhoo, just finished work a couple hours ago, and I must say, was a pretty good night. We had an early start at 9 and finished at 1! Woohoo! We were taking some cars to this place called Golden West, and when we were going to pick them up there was a guy unhooking some hoses and what not. So my Conductor was like "what you guys make in here?" Obviously he knows! He's been working for the railway for years! Anyhoo, the guy was like "English muffins! You want some?"
Heck yes!
So everybody got a bag of English muffins. A pack of 12! But these aren't just any ordinary English muffins... There McDonalds English muffins! It's pretty crazy, it says right on the bag 'for restaurant use only'
Anyhoo, other highlights of the night were that I got to drive the train! Whoa! That was pretty cool! I took a 22 car train all the way from Annacis Yard, over the bridge, and almost right up to Trapp Yard! Oh man, it was sweet!
Next exciting thing was I scored myself some free Onion Rings and A&W! I had ordered my food and what not and I was like "how much are onion rings?" and the lady was like $2.90. I only had like $130 so I told her forget and she was like ah, just take em! Oh man, the night rocked!
So anyhoo, I declare tomorrow (or is it today now?) hectic last minute shopping and gift card preparation! Which reminds me, I must call the Glynn's! Anyhoo, I work Christmas Eve at 3... Hopefully not for long... Then I have Christmas and Boxing day off!
For now, I must head for the bed. I leave you with the new U2 song Window In The Skies as I first herd it at Kelsey and Brenda's Sunday night. I made some rude comment about hearing it on their crappy speakers and I realized later it was pretty stupid, so sorry about that red head gang. Didn't mean too sound high and mighty. Anyhoo, tis a good song!
Oh yea, maybe you could all help me with this, but I was listening to 99.3 The Fox, and they had a trivia question asking 'how many of U2's Albums made it to the internet before they made it to the stores?' and the answer was all of them. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they had the internet up and running in 1980. I'm not sure, so correct me if I'm wrong!
Anyhoo, G-Night!

thats sounds like a mighty fine day! FREE STUFF IS ALWAYS BETTER and always taste better i've noticed! lol but anywho.. i'm glad you had a good day. and i hope you get the u2 question right. byeee.
From what I remember studying back in Information Technology class in high school, the internet was first developed and presented to public knowledge in 1969. A few major American universities had access to the internet beginning in 1971. I'm not quite sure when internet became a more common household connection.
That does sound kind of funny though... U2 albums online by 1980? There were probably the few rich and famous who had access to the internet by then, but probably not for most middle class households.
Yeah well they were pretty crappy speakers. Sorry that it ruined the experience.
And besides, I kicked your ass in Settlers. So it's all good. :D
Merry Christmas Matty!
