// In This Week's News

Well, there has been tons of things going on in the past 2 weeks since returning from Historymaker, and I think even before! Anyhoo, let me try and remember everything in point form, and if you don't even have to read about everything! I've made it somewhat organized! Go me!

Souther Railway of British Columbia (SRY) - I had an interview on Tuesday May 16th with the company at 9:30am, right after Navin's 9am interview! It was pretty cool, I drove him there, we were a team! I thought the interview went pretty well, and the only thing that worried me is that I'm too underqualified... like they would hire somebody with a little more work experiance with anything! My work experiance has been white spot, painting, and the nat! However, I thought that could work to my advantage as well... nevertheless, I was still nervous about it leaving the interview. They said they would contact me for a medical if they are interested in me.

Two days later, I got scheduled for a medical!

Medical Time - Wednesday May 24th was my medical, and they did took my blood, made me pee in a bottle, you know, all the fun stuff. I wasn't too worried about my medical because I know I'm able to do the job... anyhoo, again I have to play the waiting game

Shopping - Saturday May 27th was the day Jean and I were scheduled to film/photograph a wedding! Anyhoo, lots of hype up to that Saturday! Thursday I spent most of the day preparing Susan (my camera) for the day. I bought a mono pod and recorder and I went a little off topic shopping... In Best Buy, I go look at these speakers everytime I'm there. I have wanted them for a while, but $120 was a bit too much. However, they lowered the price! to $100! I asked the guy there how many boxes he had left, and he said 2! It was a sign! I bought them! Next day I come in, they lower the price again! I save another $20! The next day we had to find a camera for Jean. After passing by this place in downtown, and Jean didn't understand what a deposit was, we crossed out the idea of renting a camera. So what do we do instead you ask? Go out the the New West Best Buy and purchase a brand new camera! I have named her Natalie! The plan was to return her after the weekend, but after having a heart to heart convo with Judy, I decided to keep Natalie! Yes... I spent a little too much money... where did it come from? Okay, I give, I deal drugs!

Wedding Day - The actual wedding day itself was a little scary for me, and Jean as well. It was in White Rock so we got to take a quick 20 minute road trip, which is always fun. The wedding was good times once it got rolling. I set up a speakers corner, and damn, that was GOLD! Hilarious I say... and there was a flippin' chocolate fountain!

Medical Problems - I think everything is going well when it takes a horrable twist. On my way to my Grandma's this past Tuesday I get a call on my cell phone from the medical clinic. First of all, they were never supposed to contact me after my medical, they just contact SRY. Anyhoo, so I'm already a little weirded out and they tell me they've got my blood results back, they want me to come pick up the results and see my family doctor. Now.... that doesn't nesescarily seem like a good thing if you ask me. The rest of the day I was in panic mode thinking I have been diagnosed with some sort of cancer or I don't have a flippin' clue. You know what the worst part is? After going to me family doctor on Wed, I still don't have a flippin' clue on whats wrong with me! I've left out some details, but it just gets more confusing as it goes on, so I'm going to spare you the info. So far, I'm not too worried about dying, its nothing serious. I'll let you know if something happens.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) - To add on to the stressful day I had on Tuesday/Wednesday, I got a call from BNSF who I applied to weeks ago, and they want me to come into an info/testing/interview session. Holy crap that was a mouthful... Anyhoo, that somewhat stressed me out, because I would like to work for BNSF and SRY! However, I don't know how any of these things are going to work out. I am very confused!

Game Plan - So with all that giber gaber about jobs and medicals and so on... I have come up with a game plan. Wait and see what SRY says about my medical results. If they don't hire me, then I have to go in and get tested some more! Yay! Not fun... If they do hire me, then yay! Actual fun! I'll go and get tested again in a couple months. If I am not hired by SRY, I now have BNSF as a backup plan for a job. Both companies would be a pleasure to work for, so I have somewhat calmed down now.

Perfect Friday - I could not have asked for a better day. It was Norman's Birthday! Happy Bday mang. I went to his house which was goodtimes, then I went to the Keg to his bday dinner!! I haven't been to the Keg in ages! That was good times. Then I caught the first hour of Youth at RPC, then I made my way off to a magical place! Let's just say... it was filled with plants and trains...

So I lied, it wasn't in point form, but hey, your updated in the world of matty
