// Plumb Falls Far From The Tree
The Lower Mainland has yet lost another one, this time claiming one of the the Plumbs. Not JUST a Plumb though, my little bro Sam! Oh how sad it is! Campbell River will be happy to have this one!
I believe he broke it to me maybe a two weeks ago, something like that. Anyhoo, we were on the way to another usual game of mini golf when he said "I've got some bad news for you." I automatically for some reason knew what he was going to say so I just was like "your moving aren't you?"
So now he has officially gone. Last night was the going away shindig for Sam. We had are very last game of Golf at Harry's, with Joel, Matt, Nick, and Dyllan joining us. It was an amazing game as I came from behind to beat Sam! Terrible... I know, I beat Sam on his last night with me. I made this incredible put though and missed the hole, went up the hill, rolled back down into the hole! It was amazing! I was sooooo excited! Sam was buying me dessert! By the way, he never bought me dessert!
Boston Pizza was where we ate, and that as well was good times! We were extremely loud and annoying, and it was just an awesome night! Dinner put me way over my food budget as I paid for Sam, so note to self... Work on keeping your budget!
We then played pool at this girl named Cindy... She didn't really seem all that sociable... And we got kicked out after about 30 minutes there anyway! So we went to DQ for more dessert! I didn't have any though!
Then came the bitter goodbye. I gave Sam his shirt and socks back, and a hug goodbye. I then picked up my lucky putter that I played most of my games with Sam, and I gave it to him. I realized that I couldn't play golf with that putter if Sam wasn't there, so it had to go with him. We attempted to see each other today, but it didn't work out.
Its truly hard for to realize he's actually gone because he actually was my little brother. Ever since he first came to RPC I've taken him under my wing. I remember when we first started playing hockey at Burnette with Joel, and Bill would come too. Man, those were good times! Every Tuesday and Thursday! Then Joel didn't come as much because of the rain, and I just said to Sam "Joel's not going because of the rain, but I still want to play! Do you?" And we would play in the rain. I remember this one night we went to McDonalds afterwards and we just had such a good time... It was hilarious!
I had been hanging out with him a lot for the past three months or so, and we had started to take up golf. I started to depend on him for all my entertainment needs, and we were almost inseparable. We shared are feelings... We were truly brothers... I will miss him a lot.
So I left Sam with the wise words from Dodgeball's Patches O'hoolahan...
"You can do it. I believe in you. Bye-bye..."
Just seemed fittin' is all...
